laminar flow

Emptying a pool, a man observed a rare phenomenon in the water flow. At first glance, one might think that the flow of water is frozen, but when the man puts his hand, it appears that water normally flowing.

This phenomenon is called laminar or parallel flow, and occurs when the fluid flows parallel to the axis of the conductor lines, while all particles passing through a point having the same speed.
