A mother wallaby loses her baby
In Warrnambool, Australia, Tracy McKendry was out for her morning walk when she spotted a pied wallaby (Wallabia bicolor) bounding towards her in the middle of a residential area. Surprised by this unusual encounter, she took out her phone to film the scene so she would have proof to show her family. But as the animal sped past her, her joey suddenly fell from its pouch and landed on the road. The mother continued on her way without coming back for it, leaving Tracy completely distraught. She eventually contacted the Mosswood Wildlife Trust, whose volunteers came to retrieve the joey, which had taken refuge in some nearby bushes. It was a young female, named Katina by her caretakers. Since her mother could not be found despite searches in the area, Katina was entrusted to a specialist caretaker to be raised before being released back into the wild.Contrary to the idea that wallabies voluntarily “throw” their young to escape a predator, expulsion can occur when the highly stressed animal flees and the muscles controlling its pouch react, causing the young to fall out.…

3D printed radio-controlled car
At first glance, everything seems normal: a man 3D prints the various parts of a small Toyota AE86 and assembles what looks like a radio-controlled car. But once the assembly is complete, the roles are completely reversed. The small AE86 is actually the remote control. It’s used to drive a huge radio control box mounted on four wheels, which moves on the ground as if it were the RC car itself. This project, called “The ‘Car’ Controller: Drive the Remote with AE86,” was designed by DjangoCashflow as a complement to his “Reverse RC” project. The 3D-printed AE86 hides the transmitter’s electronics within its body and is intentionally designed to resemble a simple miniature when held in the hand. The creator summarizes the principle as follows: hold the car and drive the remote. The 3D model was published on MakerWorld.…

DIY tip
A DIY enthusiast demonstrates a particularly elaborate technique for fitting a board around an overhanging piece of wood.Very carefully, the man takes his measurements and draws several lines to precisely reproduce the shape of the obstacle on his board. A method that seems ingenious and would indeed allow him to make the cut.But after spending several seconds preparing his lines, he reveals the much simpler solution: he removes the offending piece of wood and ultimately no longer needs to make his complicated cut.A little parody of the countless DIY videos that sometimes offer unnecessarily complex solutions to very simple problems.…
Locking yourself in a bag with wasps
In Brazil, Alaecio Pereira has a rather unusual way of approaching wild animals. High in a tree, he discovered an impressive wasp nest (marimbondos in Portuguese) and decided to capture them using a large plastic bag.He completely enveloped the nest with the bag to trap the wasps inside. But instead of stopping there, the Brazilian then decided to climb into the bag himself, along with the particularly agitated insects.Without any real protection, Alaecio quickly found himself covered in wasps that stung him repeatedly. He seemed to find the situation quite amusing, as he continued to laugh despite the stings. The scene perfectly reflects his personality: Alaecio Pereira is a resident of Crato, in the state of Ceará, who has become popular on social media thanks to his encounters with potentially dangerous animals. For several years, he has been posting videos with snakes, scorpions, bees, and wasps. He explains that he has been doing this since 2012 and claims that he has never needed to be hospitalized as a result of his various misadventures. …

Skater in the Eclipse
On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in Spain, professional skateboarder Danny León took advantage of the total solar eclipse to perform a particularly spectacular sequence.Positioned on a ramp specially set up for the occasion, the skater launched himself into the air at the moment of totality. Filmed remotely with a telephoto lens, his jump appears as a silhouette against the completely eclipsed Sun, giving the impression that he passes directly in front of the black disc of the Moon. This performance required significant preparation and precise positioning: unlike a typical sporting event, totality lasted only a few moments, and the skater, the ramp, and the camera had to be perfectly aligned.Danny León is a professional skateboarder from Móstoles, near Madrid, who notably competed in the Tokyo Olympics in the skateboard park event.…
How many kilos can a glass Coca-Cola bottle support?
A man embarked on a simple experiment: to discover how much weight a glass Coca-Cola bottle could support before breaking. He placed a support on the bottle and then began gradually stacking all sorts of heavy objects: weight plates, metal plates, and various other metal items. The pile became increasingly impressive, but the small bottle continued to resist. It eventually took a load of approximately 580 kg before the glass finally gave way and the entire stack collapsed. This impressive resistance is explained in part by the properties of glass, which is particularly strong when subjected to compressive force.…
Playing with your drone while in a kayak
Settled in his fishing kayak, a content creator launched a DJI Neo 2 directly from the palm of his hand before filming some footage above the water. After several minutes of smooth flight, it was time to retrieve the small drone… but nothing went as planned.Instead of landing in his hand, the DJI Neo 2 flew right past, continued on its trajectory, and ended up a few meters away in the water. The fisherman watched helplessly as his drone slowly disappeared beneath the surface. A truly disheartening moment, made all the more frustrating by the fact that the Neo 2 was specifically designed to take off and land in the palm of your hand.…
Bribing a hunting cat
When a man saw his cat returning from the garden with a rabbit in its mouth, he decided to intervene without chasing after it. He simply offered the cat a treat in exchange for taking it. Woman levitating
A woman films a rather perplexing scene in her living room. Facing her, her friend appears to be floating in the air, her feet suspended several centimeters above the ground. For a few moments, the illusion is perfect, giving the impression of witnessing a supernatural phenomenon. But the mystery is quickly solved: it’s an optical illusion. In reality, the woman is simply standing with her feet resting on the coffee table. Her shoes, held vertically, make her legs appear bent and her feet no longer touching the ground, thus creating a particularly convincing levitation effect.…
