His wound was one of the worst we had ever seen.
With great sadness we thought that euthanasia would be the best decision…
But something in his spirit convinced us to give him a chance.
We applied a powder to kill the maggots.
After the powder had killed all the maggots we put him under sedation and started to clean the wound.
A large part of his skull was exposed and it appeared that his
eyes were gone.
