Definitely something you don't see often. When it comes time for lunch in a public school of Japan, the process is no different than any other teaching time. The meal lasts 45 minutes and is considered part of training, While the ingredients of a meal usually contain vegetables that grow themselves students.

After please their teacher for teaching, students begin to bring the meal in their classroom. Some of them undertake to serve, While the teacher eats with them and inform them about their meal. When finished, spend some time cleaning up but and order, even the corridors of the school.

Serving and clearing designed to teach students how to cooperate, but also how to be responsible for their later life as students and citizens.
