Rare angler fish found in great depth

The deep-sea monkfish are strange creatures very rarely observed in their natural environment. Less than 6 have been recorded on video by diving deep. This small fish, length about 9 cm, called Melanocetus. It is also known as “Black Seadevil” and lives in the deep dark waters of Monterey Canyon, California. Observed at a depth of 600 meters during a research expedition with underwater vehicle, the November 2014.
