Pavlopetri: The city beneath the waves

One of the oldest sunken cities, a few minutes from the Pantanassa in southern Laconia, digitally reconstructed, leveraging the capabilities of technology. Τhe Pavlopetri was a city with excellent layout, that included a very well constructed roads. "There is no doubt that this is the oldest sunken city in the world", said Dr. John Henderson, Professor of underwater archaeology at the University of Nottingham. Those who discovered surpassed every expectation. They found a town with buildings, squares, streets and monuments. Scientists are trying to find the answer to the question why was the city. There are three theories. The first is that gradually climbed the sea level, the second otiypochwrise the ground and the third was that by tsunami.
