I often see Cicadas who have escaped a bird attack, sometimes they have a limb missing or damaged wings. The way Cicadas get around the constant threat of bird attack is by having huge populations so they outnumber their prey. But one short flight to freedom can spell the end of a life. Apparently, this thief didn't want to steal a bike with flat tires (too much work). Thankfully, I have motion sensors in my front yard (who doesn't?) and I assumed it was birds eating my new grass seed (yes I know the yard looks like crap, work in progress). I'm glad I checked my cameras just in time to catch him in my yard, and with how fast he ran, he didn't need the bike anyway.
