Giant sinkhole opens in New Zealand revealing 60,000-year-old volcanic deposit A giant sinkhole that opened up on a farm in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty on Monday (April 30) has revealed a 60,000-year-old volcanic deposit. Running along a fault line, the sinkhole opened after heavy rainfall in the area, the length is around 200 metres (656 feet) with a width of 20 to 30 metres (65-98 feet). While sinkholes are common in the area, the size of this sinkhole has excited the science community with volcanologist Bradley Scott calling it "pretty spectacular."

Drone Funny Footage Fail During a stay at the Castle of St Julien near Poitiers at Easter (end of March 2017), a woman wanted to make a grimace by pulling a tongue to a drone that filmed it. But deconcentrated by the flying object, she retreated, forgetting the basin of the fountain behind her. The poor fell dressed in the cold water of the basin. A young man immediately flew to his rescue.
