80 vintage cars were found in an abandoned barn In total, the barn housed more or less 81 vehicles dating from the 50s to 80s. Of all these cars, some were American, such as a Lincoln Continental, Cadillac Eldorado, and a Chrysler Imperial. Others were European like a Porsche or a Jaguar. But the biggest nugget was probably the Lamborghini Miura P400 with less than 80,000 kilometers on the odometer, estimated between 400,000 and 600,000 euros. In this barn, there was also an e-type series 1 jaguar, a Porsche 356 Pre-A and a Corvette C3 or a van Citroen dating from 1930.
turbines II, the first car to reach 800km/h On October 2, 2018, Team Vesco's Turbinator II with Dave Spangler driving became the first wheel drive car to exceed the 500 mph barrier. Owner, designer and builder, Rick Vesco and his late brother Don began to pursue this goal 17 years ago. Tragically Don died of cancer in 2002 and never saw his dream fulfilled. In 2013 Rick began to upgrade the car with a new turbine engine, new drive train, new traction control, new brakes and new body. It was sweet success when on the first (and only) day of the World Finals event on the famous Bonneville Salt Flats, Dave Spangler powered the car through to a spectacular 503 mph run!
Wrong anthem, Belarusian Violeta Skvortsova, leaves of the podium Belarusian athlete Violetta Skvortsova, who won the European Youth Championship, left the pedestal due to an error with the Hymn. Officials asked the athlete to return and threatened with disqualification. However, she flatly refused to participate in the ceremony. As a result, the organizers of the European Championship apologized to Skvortsova and promised to re-award later.
19-year-old Skvortsova won a triple jump. The tournament is held in Italian Grosseto from 20 to 23 July.
Real Transformer in the Motor Show, be sure to look, Kia Builds Life Size Transformer Autobot Kia Builds Life Size Transformer For Car Show We've got a really entertaining video tonight. It seems that for a recent auto show, Kia Motors Corporation developed quite a display piece: a fully transforming vehicle! The SUV is seen to split its panels and (very) slowly rise to a standing posture. The "vehicle mode" is of course just an SUV shell around the movable frame, but it's interesting how the final result bears more than a little resemblance to early Diaclone car robot designs. We have the video embedded, so click through to check it out!
