(0) | 12/07/2018 | Translate: Tucson police Chief Chris Magnus experienced what all drivers dread — the flashing blue-and-red lights in the rear-view mirror.
In a traffic encounter captured on a police body camera, a Tucson officer pulled over a dark-colored SUV for a red-light infraction only to learn that the driver was his boss.
According to the video the officer tells Magnus that he observed the SUV turn left onto North Alvernon Way from East Broadway after the light had turned red.
It was only after he walked up to the SUV that it appears the officer realized that it was Magnus, who was wearing his uniform.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan posted dash cam video of the April 2016 traffic stop and sent a letter Tuesday to the Taylor police department. Chief Mary Sclabassi said that her department will conduct a “thorough and diligent investigation.” Taylor officers stopped a car driven by Calvin Jones, who traveling with his wife and a boy, and things got tense when Jones apparently declined to provide identification. In the video, Jones is heard saying, “You gotta let me know what’s going on, man,” to which an officer replies, “You’re going to jail is what’s going on.” As another officer puts on gloves, Jones asks, “For what?… On what charges?” That’s when the cop in the gloves pulls on the driver’s side window, breaking it. There is some yelling as Jones is dragged out of the car onto the ground and arrested. The officer who broke the window claims Jones was reaching for something between seats. Jones said he was just trying to unlock his seat belt.

Prosecutors say Carey gave a fake name, so officers waited to get a picture of him to confirm he was the person they were looking for. In the meantime, Carey and one of the officers chatted nonchalantly about Carey’s dreadlocks.

The 3rd lad is trying to steal the young lads bike... by the time I approach I can see the lads are much larger than the young lad... infact 2 were bigger than me... they are easily 18/19 years old. The chokeholder violently yanks the young lad away from his bike by the neck meanwhile the tall one mounts the bike so I sprint over and hit him... I then shove the 3rd guy then turn and take on the chokeholder.
The young lad is turning white and is unsteady on his feet... I manage to get him behind myself and I use my best Glaswegian barks for them to fuck off but tall one goes behind us to get the bike again I presume. So I get the young lad (and his bike) over to my lorry and step in to put the nut on the tall one who continues to be a threat.
Once out of shot (at passenger door) I offer to take him as passenger to nearest police station but as it turns out one of his mates had ran off to get help and so a female family friend arrived soon after and took him to safety... it turns out he was only 15".

It all started when i got a ping while in Newport Beach to pick up a passenger near baja sharkies on the peninsula in Newport, the passenger was incredibly intoxicated and when i pulled up, he came up to the window and asked if I was an uber driver, he appeared to be on the phone with another driver, asking him about what car he was driving. I said yes, and he immediately got in. I confirmed destination, my gps said the black night at the triangle in Costa Mesa, I asked if this was correct, he said yeah, im close to there ill tell you where to go, I asked again if he could just give me his address because I have been down this road before. He refused and insisted on telling me where to trun. We start driving, he begins fading in and out of consciousness while become belligerent and aggressive, and refusing to put his seat belt on, swearing at me, telling me to "fucking turn this piece of shit around" I didn't feel comfortable when I picked him up and I no longer wanted him in the car at this point. I grabbed the pepper spray from my center console and put it under my right thigh and flipped my camera around and, as i always do when my spidey senses start tingling, made a u-turn, then pulled into a nearby well lit shopping center, and asked him to get out of the car. He insisted on continuing, even though I had already ended the ride. We went back and fourth a bit before I told him if he didnt get out i would call the police. At which point he opened his door and began beating me over the head. I fumbled with the safety on the pepper spray while trying to protect my face with my other arm, I broke free from him grabbing me by the hair on the back of my head, and sprayed his face until he got out of the car, at which point i left the vehicle. Uber drivers don't get paid enough to deal with this shit.

On saturday night i took a cab home with a friend. as she is exiting the cab i click onto my app 'snapchat' and filmed her exit thinking it was funny... little to know i recorded him stealing her cell phone as her back was turned to him as she was getting out of the car. watch the beginning of the film and see how he doesn't think twice and finally waves to the camera. police were called and he was charge with thief. i want people to realize that anything can happen even if the driver was a flirty talker. the phone was turned off immediately once we noticed it was gone. if we didn't have this video we wouldn't have got the phone back. this could have been wallet with money or an intoxication girl by themselves. spread the word: dont trust your cab driver. always double check the cab.
