Constructing a sharp knife wood lignum vitae

The lignum vitae is more durable and heavier wood world. This is the wood of the tree Guaiacum or Gkagiako, which grows in South America and is quite rare.

The Japanese user kiwami japan used this wood to build a very sharp kitchen knife.

A comment from my side and it is certainly not meant in a bad way, on the contrary.
A knife ??? precisely, for cutting.
Why use a lot of force to be able to cut??
This may be somewhat at odds with each other, but a knife is for cutting and you shouldn't chop with it.
This has the advantage that the knife is used for its intended purpose and the knife remains sharp for much longer. Every time you let it land hard on your cutting board, then the knife becomes blunter and eventually it can no longer be used.
If you can easily cut paper with a knife, then the knife already has a BESS value of <200 and that is already razor sharp.
