First Interstellar Asteroid Wows Scientists

Scientists were surprised and delighted to detect –for the first time– an interstellar asteroid passing through our solar system. Additional observations brought more surprises: the object is cigar-shaped with a somewhat reddish hue. The asteroid, named ‘Oumuamua by its discoverers, is up to one-quarter mile (400 meters) long and highly-elongated—perhaps 10 times as long as it is wide. That is unlike any asteroid or comet observed in our solar system to date, and may provide new clues into how other solar systems formed. Similarly, the car can drive on the road that is overgrown with grass and bushes without the need to create a vegetation detection system. All it takes is about twenty example runs driven by humans at different times of the day. Learning to drive in these complex environments demonstrates new capabilities of deep neural networks. Locked in a safe September 18, 2018 / California, USA My friend got locked in a safe. We tried scaring him by pressing random numbers but after several failed attempts, the system locked itself. This happened on Tuesday night at Academy. I soon called a worker and then came a manager. They couldn’t seem to get it open so they dialed 911. While they were waiting for fire and EMS to respond, they went looking for the manual. A police officer arrived and started questioning us about what had happened. They read the manual and it stated we had to wait 5 minutes before it restarted. Time went by and the fire crew arrived. We waited and then we managed to unlock it. The police officer took my friend's information and wrote a report. Fire and EMS checked him out and after he was cleared, we left.

Yasin created Petit Pli after buying clothes for his nephew which no longer fit by the time they turned up. He used his background as an aeronautical engineer to devise a set of permanent folds that let clothes 'unpack' when pulled, as children get bigger. The collection features waterproof and windproof outwear, sized to fit children aged 6 to 36 months. The designer hopes that by creating kids clothes that last longer, this will help towards reducing the huge amount of waste generated by the garment industry.
