A dog infested with cayor worms

In the veterinary clinic of Touray & Meyer in The Gambia, a veterinarian helps a dog infested with cayor worms. By pressing the skin of the animal, the veterinarian brings out the larvae. The cayor worm is a fly larva. They are laid on a host (the dog, the cat, the rat and the monkey) to develop there. It is rampant in the sub-Saharan region of Africa. Cayor is the name of a region of Senegal particularly infested.
