Woman who was mistakenly buried alive tried to fight her way out of the grave A woman is believed to have been buried alive by mistake and lay conscious inside her coffin for 11 days before trying to fight her way out of the stone tomb. Rosangela Almeida dos Santos, 37, appears to have desperately tried to escape her wooden casket, which had been nailed shut after she was buried alive. But she had already died by the time family members smashed open the tomb last Friday after locals reported hearing screams coming from her grave, according to reports. Shocking footage shows the commotion in the Senhora Santana cemetery in Riachao das Neves, northeast Brazil, as local men took out the heavy coffin and removed the lid.
Illegal Japanese whaling filmed by the Australian Government in Antarctica This is the footage that the Australian Government didn't want you to see. Since 2012, Sea Shepherd has been a part of a joint fight to get the Australian Government to release rare whaling footage obtained on a 2008 Australian Customs mission to the Antarctic. Here is the footage that the Australian Government filmed with tax payers' money, of the Japanese whaling fleet illegally whaling in Antarctica, in Australian waters. The footage was filmed as part of gathering evidence for the International Court of Justice, which found Japans whaling to be illegal. Sea Shepherd has been relentless in their opposition to the Japanese whaling fleet, filling a void in doing the job that the majority of Australian’s want to see done. Now is the time for the Australian Government to send a vessel to oppose whaling by Japan and take Japan to the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea.
Military food. NATO approved. MRE style. Greek MRE. This is some Greek military food a friend gave me. The cans hold a pretty nice meal. I like to gather this stuff and keep it just in case.
Please note, this MRE is used by paratroopers in Greece, 7 years have passed since i reviewed this so it might have changed. Greek MRE's don't need a lot of calories, especially since Greece doesn't fight outside of the country and the Greek soil is fertile enough to produce a lot of food in times of need. The good and sunny weather of Greece also plays a role so you won't see "heavy" MRE's here like Russia or France or US.

Come on an awesome tour thru a Pygmy village! DEEP in the Congo Rainforest Traditional music - hunter gatherer culture - humanitarian aid - and amazingly sweet people, my family, the Mbuti Pygmies! To get here we have to drive about 5 hours through Eastern Congo, the forest, and on awful dirt "roads" the entire time. Then we have to hike for over 1 hour with over 1 ton of tools, pipes, equipment, and bags of cement, gravel pack, and construction gravel/rocks! That was through the mud and around, under, and over trees in the second largest rainforest in the world. So thankful for the help of the Water4 team supporting our Fight For The Forgotten and Shalom University drilling team! We are currently working on our 15th water well for my Congo family :-)

Time-lapse Mining from Internet Photos [SIGGRAPH 2015] We introduce an approach for synthesizing time-lapse videos of
popular landmarks from large community photo collections. The
approach is completely automated and leverages the vast quantity
of photos available online. First, we cluster 86 million photos into
landmarks and popular viewpoints. Then, we sort the photos by
date and warp each photo onto a common viewpoint. Finally, we
stabilize the appearance of the sequence to compensate for lighting
effects and minimize flicker. Our resulting time-lapses show diverse
changes in the world’s most popular sites, like glaciers shrinking,
skyscrapers being constructed, and waterfalls changing course.
