It's been up and running for months with relatively uneventful things happening. All until yesterday, where a cyclist coming from my right decided not to stop for a red light. The light was green for myself and the truck in front to proceed ahead, however he spotted a police car on the left and honked his horn to alert the officer to the unlawful cyclist. The officer did a U-turn with lights and sirens on and stopped the cyclist. Instant Karma at its best!

I thought that would make a great photo so I continued to drive home, got on my bicycle and rode the seven miles to where the moose was. As I was approaching the moose a tv station was there warning people about the moose attacking cyclist and other people. So they interviewed me, than were finishing up there story and went back to there car. I proceeded with caution and crested the hill with the Mama moose about thirty feet away. Just then I noticed a cyclist coming from the opposite direction riding towards me. so I started filming. When she attacked the cyclist and the cyclist fell down I was concerned until I saw him move. Then I got the attention of the tv news people and yelled at them that the moose was attacking another cyclist. so they got in there car and sped up to go in between them. Then the moose attacked the car as the car was shielding the cyclist from the moose. They eventually got far enough away where the cyclist got back on his bike and went back the way he came from.

Chief Mary Sclabassi said that her department will conduct a “thorough and diligent investigation.” Taylor officers stopped a car driven by Calvin Jones, who traveling with his wife and a boy, and things got tense when Jones apparently declined to provide identification. In the video, Jones is heard saying, “You gotta let me know what’s going on, man,” to which an officer replies, “You’re going to jail is what’s going on.” As another officer puts on gloves, Jones asks, “For what?…On what charges?” That’s when the cop in the gloves pulls on the driver’s side window, breaking it. There is some yelling as Jones is dragged out of the car onto the ground and arrested. The officer who broke the window claims Jones was reaching for something between seats. Jones said he was just trying to unlock his seat belt.
