Stanford engineers built an autonomous DeLorean capable of stable, precise drifting at large angles in order to study how cars perform in extreme situations, which could ultimately guide the development of autonomous safety protocols.
Norway is filled with Tesla cars I spent a day in Oslo before traveling to Svalbard, and noticed that there were Teslas everywhere. Upon further investigation, I learned that the Norwegian government heavily incentivizes ownership of electric cars: Tesla doesn't pay a sales tax on the models it sells, electric car owners are exempt from automobile tolls, and they can charge their vehicles for free. The catch is that Norway funds these initiatives through its sovereign wealth fund, which is almost entirely comprised of profits from Norway's oil and fossil fuel exports.

Man Transforms ‘Back To The Future’ Cars Into Bizarre Creations A MAN who collects DeLorean cars has transformed the classic Back To The Future vehicles into a monster truck, a limousine, a hovercraft, a convertible and a Time Machine Replica. Rich Weissensel, a software engineer, is fanatic about the two-door sports car and owns five custom creations – including a stretched DeLorean Limousine - and three stock DeLoreans. The 50-year-old has re-modeled the stainless-steel shape of the iconic cars into bizarre and brilliant automotive creations in an ongoing, 14-year series of projects. The projects started after Rich met the car's founder John DeLorean at the Cleveland DeLorean Car Show in 2000 and showed him some of his ideas and sketches. Rich from Chicago, Illinois, built a custom hovercraft using the stainless steel panels of the DeLorean and a hovercraft cushion which allows the DeLorean to float over any surface.

Wolf Chases Family in Car My family, my dad, and in-laws were driving around Radium Hot Springs. It was a hazy morning because of all the wildfires that have happening in the province. My husband then slowed down and saw a grey wolf beside the road. He alerted us, and because I am always fascinated with nature and wild animals we meet along our trips, I got my phone and started recording. I was sitting at the very back of the van when I saw him running beside the road and when I turned to look at the back that is when I noticed him chasing after the car. He was running so fast and he had his eyes only on us because there were other cars on the opposite direction. He chased us for a good couple of kilometers and an amazing experience. If only we had the time we would've tried to see how far he will follow us but we were on a time crunch as well. I was keen on reporting or calling parks Canada cause we were afraid that the wolf might get hit my another moving vehicle but there were no service in the area.

Russian Fidget Spinner: Spin those cars and burn some tires Inspired by the recently popular fidget spinners, bloggers from Novosibirsk created an automotive spinner, constructed out of three old cars wielded together. The design was achieved by putting together the front parts of three Lada 2109 cars. Though each of them misses the back half, they still function, with a driver sitting behind each steering wheel. When all the three cars accelerate, the fragile construction spins around. According to the creators, the cars had to be disposed after the spinner was dismantled. The bloggers' Youtube channel, Garage 54, is well known in Novosibirsk for its unusual videos of experiments with cars.
