A railwayman saves a fallen child on the rails On Saturday April 17, 2021 at Vangani Station, India, a 6-year-old boy was with his visually impaired mother when he fell from the platform onto the railroad tracks as a train was approaching. Alerted by the cries of the mother, the railway worker Mayur Shelke began a sprint of about thirty meters on the rails to grab the child and bring him back up on the platform, then to hoist himself there just before the passage of the train.
