Blocked by the Balkans, where will migrants stranded in Greece go? Greek riot police closed down a temporary transit camp used by refugees and migrants after Balkan countries like Macedonia closed their frontiers to those seeking passage who do not come from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. Where will the rejected migrants go now? Special correspondent Malcolm Brabant reports.
Military food. NATO approved. MRE style. Greek MRE. This is some Greek military food a friend gave me. The cans hold a pretty nice meal. I like to gather this stuff and keep it just in case. Please note, this MRE is used by paratroopers in Greece, 7 years have passed since i reviewed this so it might have changed. Greek MRE's don't need a lot of calories, especially since Greece doesn't fight outside of the country and the Greek soil is fertile enough to produce a lot of food in times of need. The good and sunny weather of Greece also plays a role so you won't see "heavy" MRE's here like Russia or France or US.
Greece: Refugees scuffle with drivers over highway blockade near Idomeni A group of refugees blocked the E75 highway connecting Greece and Macedonia near Idomeni on Monday, demanding that they be allowed to continue their journey towards western Europe. Footage from the scene shows frustrated drivers and passengers confronting the refugees with the Greek riot police rushing to intervene and remove the blockade from the highway. One automobile is seen trying to go around the blockade by driving on the roadside before being stopped by the refugees.

The refugee crisis is reaching breaking point in Greece with tens of thousands of people trapped there and around 2,000 more arriving each day. Austria’s decision on February 19 to limit the number of people crossing its borders sparked the bottleneck, which escalated as other countries on the Balkan route into northern Europe followed suit. Now, the European Union has declared plans to formally close those borders to migrants. As the European Union dissolves into heated disagreement over shared responsibility, VICE News correspondent Milène Larsson visits a tent city that’s cropped up at the Greek-Macedonian border. She speaks to some of the 13,000 people stranded there and to overwhelmed aid personnel who are warning a humanitarian disaster could be only days away.
