On July 21, 2026 in Huntsville, Missouri, a SWAT team was involved in the arrest of a wanted man when an outdoor wooden walkway suddenly collapsed.

Body camera footage shows several members of the group gathering in the hallway in front of an apartment door. As the police prepare to intervene, a part of the structure gives way, pulling the cops and the railing down with him.

Seven police officers were injured in the collapse. Several suffered fractures, but none of the injuries were fatal.

The Group, composed of members of the US Marshals Service, of the North Missouri Drug Task Force and local law enforcement, responded to a call for the arrest of a 26-year-old man wanted for sexual offenses. The suspect was not present at the time of the collapse and was eventually arrested later that day.
