In a garden, a young fawn stands alone against a hungry fox. The video shows the predator encircling its prey, looking for an opening to grab it by the throat. Despite the deer's efforts to keep the fox away, the fox finally catches on, biting it in the neck.

The young deer's cries of distress alert its mother. A doe suddenly appears and rushes straight at the fox. Up against a much bigger opponent, the fox immediately leaves the little deer and runs away. The fawn immediately gets up and returns to its mother, safe and sound.

The scene perfectly illustrates the protective instinct of deer towards their young. Foxes may attack very young fawns when they find them isolated, but the arrival of the mother is usually enough to prevent them.
