On Thursday, July 23, 2026 in Dobronice u Chýnova, Czech Republic, a Regionova regional train collided heavily with a truck that entered the level crossing despite flashing lights. The scene, which was filmed by a railway enthusiast who was just waiting for the train to pass, shows the driver honking just before the impact, but he could not avoid the collision. The impact was severe enough to dislodge part of the truck's cab and derail the train. Four people were injured, including the truck driver, who was seriously injured. According to initial reports, the level crossing was operating normally at the time of the accident.
