Invisible repair

Textile designer and wool garment repair specialist Alexandra Brinck shares a fascinating demonstration of her expertise. In this ASMR video, she shows how to repair a hole in a wool garment by meticulously reconstructing the stitches one by one, until the tear almost disappears.

The result is astounding: once the repair is complete, it becomes very difficult to distinguish where the hole was. This technique, called “invisible mending,” extends the lifespan of garments rather than replacing them, a practice that aligns with a more sustainable approach to consumption. Alexandra Brinck specializes in knitwear repair and regularly shares this type of demonstration on social media.
