In Russia, a driver came up with a clever but devious scheme to circumvent the ban on filling petrol cylinders at the petrol station. In this video, which was filmed in June 2026, one car appears fitted with a fake cap attached not to the tank, but with a hose that opens into the passenger compartment.

While the driver pretends to fill the vehicle, the gasoline is actually carried in a can hidden inside the car. An accomplice then subtly replaces the full barrel with an empty one to continue filling without arousing suspicion. This elaborate arrangement allows drivers to bypass the restrictions applied in some Russian regions, where gas stations now refuse to fill containers other than vehicle fuel tanks.
