On June 28, 2026, in the Lower Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh in India, a massive landslide occurred at Siji Block Point. The scene, which was videotaped by a witness, shows a motorcyclist stopped on the road, just above the mass of soil that suddenly begins to slide down the slope. The helpless man is thrown tens of meters below and, fortunately, not overwhelmed.

The landslide completely blocked the Siji River (also known as Gai Nadi), forming a natural barrier. Authorities are now monitoring the area, fearing that a sudden collapse of this mass might cause a flash flood. Residents and travelers have been advised to avoid the area.
