On June 22, 2026, during the 104th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado (USA), French driver Bruce Jouanny was involved in a spectacular crash behind the wheel of a Ligier JS2 R. As he approached a bend, the car continued straight and went off the track before stopping near some trees and rocks. Despite the intensity of the conflict, the driver escaped completely unharmed thanks to the safety equipment.
