On June 23, 2025 in Pointe-Calumet, Quebec, a tree felling operation turned into a disaster when a huge tree fell directly on a house, destroying it almost completely. The scene was filmed by a neighbor and the video quickly went viral on social media. It shows several workers cutting the trunk, while with ropes they try to control his fall. But at the critical moment, the tree fell on the house with a terrible roar.

The tenant, 65-year-old Daniel Delisle, he was not home at the time of the accident. His son told him the news over the phone. At the beginning, he thought it was a bad joke. Deeply shocked, explained that he had 'lost everything'. He lived at home for about twenty years on a very modest income of about 1.000 dollars per month, almost all of which went for rent.
