On Thursday, February 13, 2026 in Tigard, Oregon (USA), a driver lost control of his semi truck and crashed into a house in the middle of the night. According to the police, the driver was speeding on SW Scholls Ferry Road when he hit a pile of dirt on the side of the road. Then, the van was thrown about 30 meters, breaking through a brick wall before hitting a house.

When emergency services arrived around 3:00 am, the driver and passenger were trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters had to extricate them before taking them to hospital with minor injuries. Within the home, a family of five was sleeping at the time of impact. Miraculously, no one was injured despite extensive damage to the home.

The Guide, Jacob Hankins, 33 years old, he was arrested and charged with dangerous driving and endangering the lives of others.
