On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Losone, Switzerland, a driver collided with another vehicle near the roundabout next to the bridge over the Maggia River. After the collision, he fled the scene at high speed before losing control of his car a few meters down. The car went off the road, ended up in a ditch and came to rest on its roof against a parked car. In spite of the seriousness of the accident, the occupants of the vehicle were able to get out on their own. Emergency services treated at least two people, but no serious injuries were reported. Only material damage was observed.
