The process of producing polyurethane packaging film in an Asian factory begins with the preparation of basic raw materials. The main components are polyols and isocyanates, which form the basis of the polyurethane polymer. These chemicals are stored in closed tanks to prevent contamination and reaction with moisture. Before production itself, they are precisely measured in automatic dosing systems and, as necessary, supplemented with stabilizers, plasticizers, dyes or other additives that adjust the flexibility, strength or transparency of the resulting film.
After preparing the raw materials, they are mixed in a reactor or in a continuous mixing system. In this phase, a chemical reaction takes place, in which the polyols react with isocyanates and a liquid polyurethane mixture is formed. The reaction is controlled by temperature, pressure and the exact ratio of the individual components.
