RESURRECTION – Rescue of a VW 1955 panelvan – Forest find !

AirMapp & Serial Kombi present “RESURRECTION”, a short movie about the found and the rescue of my 1955 panelvan. It was abandonned deep in a french alps valley since at least 40 years and we pulled it out of the forest in september 2016 by “restoring” it on site and driving it down the mountain !

Fast flight between 2 trees June 20, 2018 / Busteni, Romania This landing was the last flight I performed in Romania. I spotted a great gap between 2 trees I could fly through and land in the short grass. An awesome end to a beautiful flight in the Carpathian Mountains.

Primitive Technology: iron age I smelted iron bacteria in a short furnace and produced a small quantity of iron prills (small iron spheres). In my ongoing quest to reach the iron age, further experiments were conducted concerning furnace design and the treatment of ore. I began by making a very short furnace. A pit 25 cm wide and 25 cm deep was dug and the tuyere of the forge blower placed in a 15 degree downward angle into the pit. Onto this, a furnace stack made of mud and grass was built 25 cm above ground level. The furnace was fired at various stages to help dry it. It took less than a day to build.
Climber who was presumed dead in the Himalayas found with a Drone. Last Monday we reported on how mountaineer Rick Allen was successfully rescued, after being presumed dead, from Broad Peak (26,400 ft) in Pakistan. with help of a DJI Mavic Pro drone. Needless to say that everybody involved, is happy to report that Rick made it back to safety with only minor injuries. This is the latest, but far from the only, rescue mission in which a drone played a crucial role in saving someone's life. What sets this story apart though, are the extreme conditions (altitude and temperature) in which the DJI Mavic Pro was able to fly. From K2's basecamp, Bartek Bargiel who piloted the drone was able to answer some questions in a short interview with DroneDJ.

I want to tell you the story of how this video was recorded , since I get a lot of questions on it :) We were visiting my mother in laws little cabin by the sea. Its' located in Gästrikland, not so far from Söderhamn. My husband Pellegrosso, who is a photographer, recently bought a new camera and wanted to compare the sound quality from his phone and camera. So he asked me if I could "kula" over the water so he could record it. This way of singing is called kulning, it's an old nordic tradition. It was used by women to call in the cattle and to communicate over big distances in the forest and mountains. Cows and cats use to react by being curios when I call but I have never seen a swan react before.
