New York State Police (NYSP) Trooper Bailey Martin miraculously escaped serious injury after being struck by a vehicle while outside her patrol car investigating an accident. The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. on February 13 near the intersection of State Routes 458 and 30 in Duane, New York. Martin, who was speaking with another officer at the scene of a minor accident with no serious injuries, was hit by a Dodge Durango whose driver ran a stop sign. The driver told police he didn’t see the stop sign because he was blinded by the sun.
